Optimum Chooses Marvin for $20,000 Technology Grant
Marvin Elementary School was thrilled to be chosen by Optimum Business as one of team schools to receive a $20,000 technology grant.
Representatives from Optimum’s Small Business and Community Affairs team visited Marvin on Jan. 30 to present the check to our students and staff. We were honored to be joined by Mayor Harry Rilling, CT Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff and State Representative Lucy Dathan at the ceremony.
Library Media Specialist Stephanie Deeb already identified some great technology to make learning more accessible to all students, regardless of their learning styles or needs including laptop computers, DVD players, headphones and CD players.
The Optimum Business technology grant is part of Optimum’s partnership with DonorsChoose, a nonprofit platform that allows funders to fulfill requests of public school teachers. Optimum Business is proud to keep schools in our communities connected, and in a commitment to education, is also ensuring that students have access to the tools and technologies that are needed to make the most of their connectivity.
Thank you, Optimum!
