Parent Communication
I have been receiving lots of communication from parents since we have been working remotely.  Parents, we know how hard having your child home all day must be now as well as getting them to do school work from home, but I also wanted to remind you that even though the teachers are not physically with your children every day they are still working tirelessly.  I have removed who the emails are from and the student's name, if enclosed, to protect their privacy, but still provide you with a sense of parent gratitude.

Please feel free to contact me if you feel there are areas we can improve upon.....

Hi Mrs. Gilman! It was so uplifting to just speak to you on the phone. Thank you for you for  making the effort to come visit with Chloe and bringing her food and treats.  It was so amazing!  I hope you and your family enjoyed the holiday and are all staying safe. Thank you and the whole team for doing all of the things you are doing for all the students!!
Good afternoon Mrs. O'Shea,

Thank you very much for to the Marvin family for taking the initiative to go out on the streets. Looking at the entire Marvin family together fills us with hope and joy.  Hoping that it will all be over soon. God bless the entire Marvin family.  They are a very important support for me and my family.

Hello Ms. O’Shea

The parade was just absolutely amazing and lifted the spirits of so many!  My neighbor D asked me for the video footage I took. She informed me that she sent it into News 12 and they featured it!  See attached video of the coverage!  - see the video on the page with all the pictures from the parade.

Good afternoon. The parade was really a very nice surprise for all the kids. Marvin School showed love and kindness.  We are all in this together; You guys are unbelievable.  Thank you so much.

I have no words to express what I felt when I saw all of you teachers pass by and honk.  It was just awesome πŸ‘πŸ½ (between us it made me cry) THANK YOU MARVIN TEACHERS πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Dear Mrs. Gilman, Mrs. Mumbach & entire staff of the Marvin Family

Thank you for taking time out of your day to share some joy with our children.  That was so incredible and brought smiles to faces.

We miss Marvin so much…we miss our friends and teachers (said by Gianna and Mason )

Take care, be safe and big hugs to all

Thank you. That parade was a very special treat. Sasha and Julian loved seeing you today, We all did!  We appreciate everything you’re doing to get through this.

Thank you so so so much.

Thank you, Sue-Ellen. You and the Marvin crew are doing an amazing job during this most trying time, and for this, the Chang Family is truly grateful and proud of you all. To you and yours... Hang in there, and stay well!

We are so appreciative of all the work you and the teachers are having to do! I know we will all get though this because we have such an amazing community at Marvin.

Thank you principal O’Shea for communicating with you and keeping everything organized.

Staying home makes us realize what a tremendous task it is for you and your team everyday! Aisha misses school and her teacher Mrs. Randazzo very much!

Mrs. O’Shea,

Stay healthy! Thank you for all you’re doing for the students and for going in tomorrow. Be safe.

Our teachers, Mrs. Gilman and Mrs. Lamb have been in constant communication and have been wonderful. The packets were so well thought out and although difficult and unimaginable, I have enjoyed being a part of the boys curriculum during this crazy time.

They miss school and their friends very much! And love sending videos and photos to their teachers

We do our morning announcements every morning.

Please stay well.

Good Morning Sue-Ellen!!
I don’t know what pep talk you gave your crew at Marvin, but it was clearly transcending, your staff is exemplary during this time.  Mrs. Mumbach had me in tears with the daily communication and support (an hour on the phone, AN HOUR!) and Ms. Lamb and I were able to schedule her times with Savannah for specialized work.

Thank you for an amazing team and effort!  My family and I appreciate it all!

All the best,

Hi Mrs. O'Shea,

I just wanted to personally thank you for your incredible dedication and hard work - always, but especially during this time. We got through our day 1 packets and the kids enjoyed it! The next 2 weeks (praying it's not more than that) will not be easy on a few different levels, but the support we're getting from Marvin will get us through. I know what you all accomplished was not easy, but I have to say it was worth the effort. And you should be very proud of the wonderful staff you have.

Thank you again! Please let us know if there's anything else we can do on our end.

I just wanted to take a minute to say Thank you!  The amount of work that you and your staff put into these take home packets, given the short time frame you had is Amazing!  Cole also had a problem signing in today, but quickly fixed with 3-4 emails from Ms Kangas and a call from Ms Dean we were back up and running. You guys have and are making the best of a bad situation. Not that we ever expect less than that from Marvin Staff!  Thank you again from all of us, and hope and pray this will be over soon.

Best always,

You and your teachers and staff did an incredible job of putting all of this together. I can’t imagine the time and organization it took to make a packet for each child. We are so proud to be a Marvin family!!
Stay healthy!!
Thank you Mrs. O’Shea. We appreciate all the work you and the teachers are doing.

Mrs OShea,

I wanted to tell you how impressed I am with the 5th grade team and special ed for the packet that was sent home.
For a short time to prepare it is well organized and detailed.
I am excited to start my teaching degree with at home schooling and should be open for business after 2 weeks ;)

The 5th grade team did an excellent job and I thank you all!

Stay safe!

I would just like to say a huge thank you to you and to all the staff for their professionalism and dedication to our children. Of course this is uncharted waters for the whole district, and I truly hope all recognize and appreciate that for what it is. The organization and thoughtfulness put into the packets sent home is something that will stay with me always. I’m very proud of all that was done for our kids the last few days. Also, the food drive that was put together for our community’s children that depend on school for their meals, was another successful, organized, well planned event. Again, thank you very much to you and all Marvin staff and especially to my daughter’s teacher Mrs. Gilman for all your hard work and dedication. It is not unnoticed or under appreciated.
Stay safe. Stay healthy.
